9F.05 Gas Turbine (50 Hz)

The 9F family of gas turbines was launched in 1991, and has gone through significant improvements with each subsequent generation.

  • Turndown to 23 percent of baseload within emissions compliance
  • Fast start reduces time across the entire start sequence, up to 20 minutes less than a conventional start in combined cycle, lowering startup emissions
  • 18-stage compressor with variable inlet guide vanes to reduce degradation and stress on wear-related components
  • DLN 2.6+ combustor provides dual-fuel capability and enables turndown to 23 percent of baseload in simple cycle
  • Three-stage hot gas path (HGP) turbine has Advanced Gas Path features, and improved materials provide cooling and longer parts durability
  • OpFlex AutoTune improves DLN operability, increasing the range of natural gas compositions that can be used
  • Simplified dual-fuel system uses less water, eliminates recirculation, and utilizes enhanced liquid purge for improved reliability and dependability
