VHP Air-Fuel Ratio (AFR2) Upgrade
The next generation of Waukesha’s rich burn air-fuel ratio control (AFR2) integrates with ESM for unmatched emissions performance. It utilizes a fuel control valve between each regulator and carburetor and includes a wide band pre-catalyst O2 sensor calibrated for a wide variety of gaseous fuels for more stable operation through fuel swings. AFR2 has been designed and enhanced for Waukesha’s product line, enabling better and improved out of the box performance.
VHP emPact Emission Control Upgrade
With the emPact emission control upgrade for Waukesha VHP gas engines, GE effectively combines all the emissions-related components of an engine into one comprehensive control system that can keep your emissions in compliance. The system uses a special oxygen (O2) sensor specifically designed for natural gas operation and is factory-designed, tested, and calibrated to optimize the interaction between components, resulting in excellent system performance.
ESM Engine Management System Control Upgrade
GE’s ESM engine system manager provides comprehensive control capability to help enhance uptime and boost performance for a variety of Waukesha VHP and VGF engines. Designed for ease of use and enhanced serviceability, the ESM integrates spark timing control, speed governing, knock detection, start-stop control, diagnostic tools, fault logging, engine safeties, and air/fuel ratio control.

SPARC Cylinder Head Upgrade
The latest spark plug sleeve design for Waukesha’s VHP Series Four cylinder heads provides more reliable operation and longer periods of time between spark plug sleeve maintenance intervals. The new design simplifies the assembly process, ensures proper sealing between components, and utilizes longer life materials. The proven spark plug sleeve design has been implemented into new production of VHP Series Four cylinder heads, and can easily be installed on existing Series Four cylinder heads to enhance the reliability of Waukesha VHP engines.
